Peptide Program

Our Own Peptide Program: A Once-Monthly GLP-1

Alongside our biologics portfolio, BioFutureRx engineers novel peptide therapeutics in-house. Our lead candidate, BFRx3711, is a proprietary GLP-1 analog we designed for potential once-monthly dosing in type 2 diabetes and obesity — and we are seeking a strategic partner to help advance it toward the clinic.

Today

The limitation of today's therapies

The leading GLP-1 therapies for diabetes and obesity are given as once-weekly injections. Highly effective, but weekly dosing is an ongoing burden — and it leaves room for a meaningful improvement: less-frequent administration.

The BFRx3711 advantage

The once-monthly advantage

We engineered BFRx3711 for an extended duration of action, with the potential to move from weekly to monthly dosing. A once-monthly option could improve adherence and convenience while maintaining the efficacy expected from this class.

Preclinical Promise

Early signals of a differentiated profile

In our preclinical studies, BFRx3711 has shown an extended half-life, meaningful weight reduction, and durable glucose control, alongside a favorable regulatory profile as a small peptide. Detailed data are available to qualified partners under NDA.

Our Science

From molecular design to a defined clinical path

BFRx3711 is built around our own science — engineered in-house for stability, receptor potency, and the extended duration of action that makes less-frequent dosing possible.

01

Peptide Engineering & Design

We design GLP-1 peptide modifications that improve enzyme (DPP-4 and other) resistance and strengthen albumin binding — the engineering behind BFRx3711's extended half-life and once-monthly dosing ambition.

02

Preclinical Development

Receptor pharmacology, PK/PD characterization, and in vivo efficacy studies build the data package that de-risks a candidate. BFRx3711 has shown receptor activity comparable to semaglutide with materially extended preclinical PK.

03

Regulatory & CMC Strategy

We chart the path to IND and beyond. BFRx3711's short peptide profile (under 40 amino acids) is intended to support a simpler manufacturing and regulatory route relative to longer-peptide comparators.

04

Development to Launch

A staged roadmap through IND, Phase 1–3, and NDA, with the option to advance the program independently or alongside a strategic development partner.

Global GLP-1 sales projected above

$200B+

One of the fastest-growing segments in pharmaceuticals.

A Large and Growing Market

A differentiated dosing option in a high-growth class

GLP-1 therapies are among the fastest-growing segments in pharmaceuticals, with global sales projected above $200 billion. A differentiated, less-frequent dosing option is a compelling opportunity within that market.
